In 1985, a team of professional consultants, Margareta Barchan, Krister Nathanaelson and Klas Mellander, formed a company to provide business clients with faster, quicker and more engaging methods for bringing about change and increasing business knowledge.
The company evolved into Celemi and is now a global operation with a wide range of clients, and a network of valued consultants and partners around the world. At the heart of every business simulation or custom solution we create, is a unique methodology called The Power of Learning. Klas developed this model earlier in his career when dissatisfied with the widely accepted lecture-based approach to learning, which consistently failed to create lasting knowledge.
In 1993, Klas published The Power of Learning: Fostering Employee Growth (McGraw Hill). The book became an instant hit in the field of executive development and was named a “Main Selection” by the American Society of Training & Development.
Since 2011, Celemi is part of Mercuri International, the world's largest sales performance improvement consultancy. With a unique combination of consulting and training expertise, Mercuri International helps nearly 15 000 companies per year in more than 50 countries, in over 30 languages, to achieve the necessary improvements.
